The Dubai Mall is the world’s largest shopping mall, with over 1,200 shops and a wide range of attractions such as sea-like aquariums (you can ride a boat in it), ice rinks, a cinema with 200 screens and entrance to Burj Khalifa, the largest building in the world.
The Dubai Mall is quite well-arranged. Making it easy to get to the department you are interested in, for example, electro. You will also find shops offering very luxury brands that do not quite fit in shopping centers. Lots of decorations, often some kind of program, etc. I personally recommend not only to see the aquariums that you can find at the entrance, but to pay the entrance price to the aquariums as well. There you can choose from “basic entrance“ and “boat entrance“. I think you just need a basic entrance that allows you to see a whole lot. Including a smaller water zoo, feeding fish, a lot of sharks and about 2 hours of fun.
Burj Khalifa Dubai
Burj Khalifa – the world’s largest building (828 meters), after entering the Dubai Mall, you just walk down the floor to access the lifts. Tickets need to be booked via the internet.
If you have a ticket, you go through a check and ride a super fast lift (by the way, the lift is from a Czech company), the ride itself is a nice experience, the elevator’s wall is showing where you are and the comparison with some other structures. So you can see where you are e.g. at the height of the Eiffel Tower and so on, plus there is nice music playing.
After reaching the 124th floor, you can have a bunch of pictures made. You get a few photos of you climbing Khalifa, etc. Despite the fact the photos are artificially edited, they are very expensive. But there is also an opportunity to buy souvenirs, t-shirts, mugs, pencils and anything you can think of.
There are also lookout terraces, which offer a beautiful view. I personally recommend you to visit them when the day turns dark.
Another option is to pay for entrance up to 148th floor. It is more expensive, but more luxurious.
Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall can be reached easily via Metro
The metro station is called Burj Khalifa / Dubai Mall, and so you will not get lost there.
Dubai Fountain Dubai
The Dubai Fountains, the world’s largest dancing fountains. Are in front of the Dubai Mall and in the evening it’s a really great experience to be there. The show repeats every 30 minutes. Over 12 hectares of artificial lake lights up and you will witness a great show.
If you would like to enjoy Burj Khalifa and Fountains a little bit differently, I recommend you to visit the Armani Hotel. Hotel Armani is right in Burj Khalifa, offering terraces overlooking the fountains, fine dinners and a nicely spent evening.
