I have written a few words about Abu Dhabi before. Mainly, I described how to get from Dubai to Abu Dhabi and also what to see in Abu Dhabi. Today, I will introduce the recently opened branch of the French Louvre Museum.
The Louvre Museum in Abu Dhabi and the most expensive painting
Last year, New York auctioned an incredible $ 450.3 million picture of Salvador Mundi (Da Vinci’s Savior), which you can see in Abu Dhabi.
You will also find more than 600 artworks and about 300 borrowed works from the Paris Louvre. The museum is located in Saadiyat Cultural District, Saadiyat Island. You do not have to search for it, you just need to say taxi drivers the Louvre Museum and they will know. Otherwise, there is bus number 94 and the stop is called The Louvre Museum as well.
The entrance fee for adults is 63 AED, the youth from 12 to 22 years of age have admission around 32 AED and children under 12 – free of charge. Those people who like art, will surely love it.
By the way, on the same island in Abu Dhabi, the Guggenheim Museum will be opened in the early months. Saadiyat Island, on which the museum is located, is a very interesting island, which serves as the main venue for artistically oriented people in Abu Dhabi and the whole Emirates. The plan is to make it the most visited art venue in the world. You will also find hotels and sensational beaches with beautiful white sand. So if you go to the museum, I recommend you to look around the neighborhood.
