Abu Dhabi is the capital and the second most populous city of the United Arab Emirates. You can visit, for example, the large Sheikh Zayd Mosque, Ferrari World’s largest indoor theme park, where is the fastest roller coaster in the world (240 km / h) or Yas Waterworld – a fantastic water world and, of course, nice beaches.
Sharjah – probably the most conservative emirate, nothing for shorts and tuxedo lovers. It is near Dubai and there are nice beaches nearby. The centre of Sharjah extends around a lagoon, and you can find parks, museums, markets and a Ferris wheel nearby.
Ras al Khaimah
Ras al Khaimah – about 115 km away from Dubai, I would recommend it to those who want a cheaper vacation in a clean and safe country by the sea and are ok with travel agencies, as travel agencies offer this emirate quite often for a good price. There are not many activities suitable for younger people.
Ajman – the smallest of the Emirates. There are beautiful white-sand beaches.
Fujairah – an emirate near the Oman border. That might be a reason to stay there for a while and make a few trips. Beautiful nature – mountains, clean sea suitable for diving. You can see turtles, sharks and corals there. A nice place that is quite different from Dubai and lots of people might find it exciting.
Umm al-Quwain – an emirate in the north with only 65,000 inhabitants, there are a few hotels and some offer free transportation to and from Dubai.
